Human Rights Education - Samarkand WEB-Forum

Last month chair of Human Rights Education Youth Network - Nika BAKHSOLIANI gave speech about human rights education on Samarkand Forum on Human Rights “Youth 2020: Global Solidarity, Sustainable Development and Human Rights.” The Forum aimed to discuss improvements on existing international and regional instruments and mechanisms for the protection and promotion of youth rights, as well as the role of youth in the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the UN World Program on Human Rights Education.

Nika referred to HRE as "a many-faced god" which covers global education, including intercultural, anti-racist, development, environmental, values-based, democratic, personal, civic and peace education. Besides that, he explored the current tensions and challenges for human rights education.

Nika was invited within his current mandate at the Advisory Council on Youth of the Council of Europe. You can check more about the forum on their website.
