Exciting Opportunity to Join HREYN's Board as Secretary General!

Are you passionate about human rights education and eager to make a meaningful impact? HREYN is thrilled to announce an open call for dynamic individuals to join our Board as Secretary General!

About HREYN:

Established in 2006, the Human Rights Education Youth Network (HREYN) is dedicated to promoting human rights education, advocating in diverse policy spheres, and addressing emerging human rights challenges. Our network fosters collaboration, innovation, and action to advance the cause of human rights globally.

As Secretary General, you will play a pivotal role in shaping HREYN's strategic direction, overseeing project implementation, and upholding our core values. The time we dedicate to the Board activities differs depending on the projects we are implementing at any given moment and donors’ deadlines, but should not exceed 4h a week or less.

You will work remotely in close collaboration with the fellow Board members sharing responsibilities. According to HREYN Statutes the Board work is always voluntary in order to avoid any conflict of interest, but the position offers an opportunity to drive the human rights discourse, to effect tangible change and to engage into the work of an international NGO network getting valuable experience and connections. If interested, you will also have the opportunity to join HREYN events in various European countries representing the Board.

Criteria for Applicants:

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following criteria:
